ABIQUA DRINKING GOURD

Hybrid of H. Tokudama x H. sieboldiana from Walden West, 1989. Rich dark blue, thick, very large nearly round, 11"x 11" deeply cupped leaves, strongly seersuckered and puckered. Leaves powdery gray on the visible underside. This hosta sets the standard for cupping as it can be up to 4 inches deep, easily holding water for birds to bathe in. Near white flowers on upright scapes in July.
