NEW FOR 2026 CURRENTLY VERY LIMITED
This is a stable sport out of Hosta Emperor's New Clothes. Hosta Emperor's New Clothes is an unstable sport out of Hosta Empress Wu. Emperor's New Clothes comes up mostly white with blue and green splashes and speckles, turning mostly green by late summer. Emperor's New Clothes is difficult to reproduce with many stabilizing out to a form with a green speckled margin and white misted centres. This stable form has now been named and reproduced more reliably as Hosta Frog in My Throat, having green speckled margins and white misted centres. By late summer the whitish centres become much more green. Leaves are 6 inches wide, 9 inches long, 13 to 14 vein pairs, ovate, moderately wavy and deeply twisted and folded overall. Registered by Hans Hansen of Walters Gardens Inc. in 2024.
