FROG IN MY THROAT

This is a stable sport out of Hosta Emperor's New Clothes. Hosta Emperor's New Clothes is an unstable sport out of Hosta Empress Wu. Emperor's New Clothes comes up mostly white with blue and green splashes and speckles, turning mostly green by late summer.  Emperor's New Clothes is difficult to reproduce with many stabilizing out to a form with a two tone green very slightly speckled margin and white centres. This stable form has now been named and reproduced more reliably as  Hosta Frog in My Throat.  Leaves are 6 inches wide, 9 inches long, 13-14 vein pairs, ovate, moderately wavy, and deeply twisted and folded overall.
