Tidewater
Hosta Description

1988 Mark Zillis hybrid of H. kikutii leuconata X H sieboldiana Elegans. Keeps its incredibly bright blue coloration late into summer after which the leaves are dark green. One unusual characteristic of Tidewater is the narrowness of the blade for leaves maturing at such a large size. Leaves 12"long by 6"wide (can be larger), narrowly ovate shaped, wavy, deeply veined and covered with a thick bloom on both top and underside surfaces, good substance. Medium lavender flowers, subtended by long bracts, bloom in August on three foot scapes. Medium to fast growth rate.
