ELEGANS

Customers still ask for the elephant leafed hosta, usually referring to sieboldiana Elegans. This hosta forms a very large mound of blue-green leaves that are 13 inches x 10 inches in size, heart shaped, thick textured, and heavily corrugated. Flowers are almost white, funnel shaped on 36 inch scapes in early summer. Elegans is a form of H. sieboldiana which is native to Japan.
